Bio: I am a chemical oceanographer/biogeochemist. I went to graduate school in oceanography at University of Washington, and have returned here as a research scientist. Broadly, I am interested in marine nitrogen cycling.

What I’m doing on this cruise: I am working with the CFC(chlorofluorocarbon) lab measuring sulfur hexafluoride and CFCs, which are anthropogenic gases and useful as tracers of ocean circulation. Additionally, I am measuring nitrous oxide, a powerful greenhouse gas.
